Love this so much Heidi. What a wonderful story! And to have watched your hard work pay off in the absolutely perfect-for-you project was gratifying as well for this onlooker and fan of your beautiful uplifting resonant work (and of you in general, you generous sweet human!)

Its great to read this Heidi - thanks for sharing it - I have done a few personal projects but often don't share them - love changed my mind on that one. Id love to know if you have any real understanding about how to get around the algorithm? every one talks about it but I don't understand what it was v's what it is now - I just know it takes me a long time to grow my audience and as I chose to not pay for sponsored posts I hardly ever get any new non followers seeing my posts - Also how is sub stack working out for you - I'm just trying to work out what and how it actually works???

This was so good to read! It looks like the perfect project for your work and so interesting to read how you balanced it with homeschooling. The final book looks so good!

Thanks so much for sharing Heidi. It’s very inspiring and encouraging. And great to hear how you balance motherhood and illustration, that’s something I am curious about. Also interesting to view Instagram itself as a portfolio of sorts. I’ll need to have a tidy up!
